Ch-Ch-Changes

So life has suddenly picked up the pace on me.  While we've been adjusting to full schedules, blogging has been slack.

Since the (re)appearance of the TV, that's meant that I have no computer desk/home office area. . Boo.  That means that I have had no where to edit photos.  That also means that I'm having to blog on my netbook, which is really NO good for blogging.

However, I have acquired a iPhone-wannabe phone, and downloaded an app for totally trendy photos (seen above).

What we've been up to - eating, learning to climb, washing hands, generally just being hyperactive (if you're Saul), bible study, doctor's appointments, and I've been busier with my work than EVER.

Speaking of schedules, Saturday, we'll be meeting up with Kimberly Card for a little professional photo loving.  Hopefully we'll get some great shots of Saul. I was talking to Todd last night about how one of my major regrets is not getting newborn shots of Saul. Oh well.  When #2 comes along, that'll be first on my list.

Well, there you go.  A little update to keep you going.

Oh, and PS. my garden is poo-poo.  I'm over it!! Let's just fast-forward to next spring so I can try again, okay?

Lazy Days of Summer.

After an unplanned and unexpected hiatus, I'm back.

I have great aspirations for blogging, and none of which will happen if I keep letting myself go weeks and months (eek!) without posting.  Here's a mid-year goal: post at least 3-4 times per week!

Here's a look at what's been going on around here.

I manage to grab him occasionally to take a picture before he's off to get into something else.

Honestly, it's been a very lazy summer.  A lot of watering plants, sweet tea, trips to the river and splash-park, and just laying around on the leather couches to try to keep cool.  It gets so hot here, you can't even think about going outside between 12 noon and 6:30, so that leaves evening playtime in the front yard as the most exciting part of everyone's day.  I'll have to get some photos of that, too.

I'm sorry about the hiatus.  I'm fairly certain that I'm back.

On Blogging In General

Let me start off by saying that I've had my first comment by someone I don't know. 

Dear Sarah, the fact that you stumbled across my page is a blessing in itself.  I have only been blogging for a few months, so the fact that anyone I don't know has found my little corner of the interwebs is awesome.  I am so honored that you decided to leave your comment.  Isn't that what blogging is about?  Sometimes, it feels good to hear a, "Me too!" You're not obligated to ever say another word, but thank you. 

Also, reader in Germany.  I see you.  That's awesome that you regularly check to see what little words I throw out into space.  I don't know who you are, or if you even really live in Germany, but I think it's so cool that you like what you read. Thank you.

This is not a post for self-glorification, but to say hello and thank you to those who like what they read.  Just like any other blogger, you write for readers.  If I wanted a private journal, I would have one.  I kept journals/diaries for 8 years, and I love them.  That is not where I am in my life now.

As I said, I write for advice, an outlet, and the "me too's".  Being a new mother is exciting, energizing, tiresome, and sometimes downright terrifying.  It's new to me.  I am not the first, nor the last "new mom" in the universe.  I get the hang of it more and more each day.  I don't know that I have more or less to say than any other mother out there, but I love having a place to share. 

I love your input, and I love that people may keep that input to themselves.  It's alright either way.  I'm just glad that I have a place where some people want to visit sometimes.
